CIAS Media Day 2018

The 2018 Canadian International Auto show highlighted some of the best cars to hit the Canadian market in 2018. StatsAuto was proud to attend the Media Day with hundreds of auto executives and media personnel. We are pleased to present you the highlights of the day. Enjoy.

The day began early in the morning with opening remarks and awards.

Hyundai Canada CEO Mr. Romano sharing some ground breaking information on Hyundai's new on-line sales strategy.

One of the all-time greats. The Mazda RX-7. RIP to the Rotary Engine. Yup that's a 1993 Miata on the side. Statsauto is currently on the hunt for one :)

Celebrating 20 years of the Honda Civic in Canada. What a classic beauty.

StatsAuto checking out the specs on the all new Honda Civic Type R. Wow, what a beauty @ over 300hp. Interior brings back memories of the Original Acura Integra Type R. Want to spend $48,000 on this Civic Type R. Goodluck! Its all sold out.

So much walking......luckly there is a Shuttle Bus to take us from building to building.

The shot of the Show. Whats under that satin cover?

The all new 2018 911T (yellow). 911 Turbo Executive series (White). Porsche stole the show this year. Media couldn't get enough shots of these beautiful cars.

Audi launches the all new A8L. Autonomous driving Level 3. Virtual Dashboard. This is the furure.

StatsAuto bursting with excitement over the new Mercedes-Benz line up.

Dripping in luxury the new G-wagon is all class. What do you think of the redesigned tail lights?

The Metrus. Everyone walked right by it thinking its just another commercial vehicle. Statsauto opened the doors and were amazed.

A bespoke version of the Metrus. Whats the price? The salesrep didn't want to tell us. Our guess.... $250,000 for this edition.

As you can see the legs started to hurt. What better way then to relax and get a massage in the back of the all new BWM 760LI. True class. The pillow on the headrest is the cherry on top.

Ending the day off with a true legend the original Ford GT40. Valued at over $8,000,000.

Cheers to a fantastic day and to one of the most beautiful cars ever made. The 1961 jaguar E-Type.
